Vanessa obtained her Masters in Counselling from City University of Seattle.  She has professional experience working with individuals, couples, families ranging from age 4 to 60s.  She is passionate about walking with people who struggle with various issues that range from anxiety and mood disorders, interpersonal relationships, to traumatic experiences.  She is especially passionate about working with individuals who struggle with self-esteem and social adjustments.  Having obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vanessa enjoys being creative and brings that creativity into therapy when working with clients.  She believes that each individual is unique and values in incorporating individual uniqueness into therapy.

 

Vanessa is also certified in Neurotherapy (LENS) and in rhythmic therapy (IM).  She has been a staff at the clinic since 2005 and is familiar with the clinic’s modality and services.  She is a mother of a playful girl and a happy boy; and when her hands are not tied, she enjoys music, crochet, and tea.

 

Vanessa offers counselling services in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
