FHL Clinics is honoured to host the Empowered to Connect Conference Simulcast presented by Show Hope.  This conference teaches Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI) methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, to help bring practical teachings designed to encourage, educate, and equip families, caregivers, churches, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption and foster care.  However, the content is not just ideal for adoptive and foster parents.  We, at FHL Clinics, have found that the skills you learn in this conference can be extremely helpful for understanding children who are sensitive, highly anxious, behaviourally challenging, and those who struggle with developmental challenges.
 
TBRI® is a holistic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviours.
 
Empowered to Connect 2020 is a replay of the Empowered to Connect Conference 2019 that was held at Doxology Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas on April 26-27, 2019.  This year we have been given permission to share this wonderful conference with our clients, colleagues, and friends to watch from their home.  To know more about this exciting event, please click the video below.
